This is the key performance aspect of the growth of C P World Group.
We will become a "sales driven" company, totally focused on customer contact, confidence and care whenever dealing with us.
A rigid and totally focused "customer call cycle" plan are implemented to ensure maximum coverage of the total forwarders/customs brokers in each country. Not only will C P World offices be sales driven, alliance partners will also be accountable for growth under a global target plan.
Communications are the key to growth within the C P World Group. We will be constantly circulating our sales correspondence, encouraging and challenging the global network to do the same.

It's becoming to be an event not to be missed.
C P World Group management decided to showcase "Incredible India". The three days event is now more than just a business meeting. Incredible as it is, the Mumbai hosting office was able to work in a tour of the city running parallel whilst the meeting were on going.
The Casino-Nite party theme sees all the global participants ended up as winners.

C.P.World Lines Pvt Ltd was honored with the "Best Consolidator of the Year 2010"
award for Northern India. This award organised by EXIM India, the shipping press of India,
is in recognition of the company excellent service provision in the territory.
As Mr Ravi Anand ,the managing director of the company acknowledged that
this achievement has only been made possible due to the teamwork, hard work and dedication
of the company personnel.

I am happy to address you at the end of the year again, as it is most encouraging to see so many of you continue to contribute and grow C P World Group.
From the beginning, both Ken Chiang and myself has committed to the fact that we would put our energy to ensure the success of the continuity of this Group. In so doing, we would also like to add a little adventure to our managers and staff and hopefully some will also rubbed onto our business partners as well.
Business in not getting any easier, so let's build in a little fun if we can along the way. So, here we are, closing the year and starting another adventure in 2011!
Since our recently concluded meeting in Colombo, I am pleased to see tremendous effort being put in by all our offices and hence receiving the reciprocal support from all our business partners.
Let me briefly mention the various key business activities that have been employed into C P World Offices in year 2010.
- New offices were launched in Saudi Arabia and Oman with additional offspring office in Abu Dhabi.
- Forging alliance partnership and setting up of offices in China.
- Direct sailing to location where we once only uses transhipment hub to get there. Now there are more possibilities to move your cargo through the C P World network.
- This year also see our offices response to both customers and network agencies with a degree of flexibility. It is our dream to move the organization towards a more "Friendly" company.
I am pleased to further add that over 12 months, we have continued to see growth in our LCL consol volume. Each office is to use their respective achievement as a benchmark for your next year target.
Offices now have to meet their volume budget for the year and work together to achieve an anticipated Growth Strategy of 5 % for the whole group.
We are also setting up a regional sales force and enhancing our web-based FMS freight system.
All these and much more will be happening in 2011.
Our theme for this year is Moving On, Moving Forward ......
So, join me as WE MOVE ON ! ,

This year my note of address will be centered on one word : APPRECIATION
I am happy that for the third consecutive year, we have been able to continue our tradition of holding our annual Global meeting. What is more encouraging for C P World is that I have witness the number of participants growing larger at each event.
This only came about and made possible through the combine effort and commitment from many people. I would like to thank three particular Groups of people for their continuous support and faith in C P World Group throughout the year.
In the recent Colombo meeting, I have the opportunity to spend a very rewarding time with all the management and managers of C P World Group. During the in-house workshop, Volume target are set and key performance indicators are now implemented. So, I will be expecting a driven performance from each office next year.
This is the first group of people I would like to show my appreciation too. The management and staff of C P World Group.
The second group of people would be our international agencies.
We have been fortunate to have many agencies working within our network.Through their unreserved support right from the very beginning, they are now working with many C P World offices today. I am very much touch by their sincere gesture as they start to change their agencies and appoint a C P office instead. I know from experience that this is not an easy task, but it surely give C P World management an endorsement that we must be doing thing right.
And finally, the third group of people is to all our customers who have believe in our services and through their support has given us the opportunity and spurs us to greater height.
I sincerely thank everyone and wish all a successful year ahead.

Consolidators from 50 countries brave a tropical storm and find their ways through flooded road to attend the uninterrupted 3 days event.

It is indeed my pleasure to deliver another message; I can see that C P World Group is nothing short of becoming a very big and successful group in the future. I certainly hope that you will all share and cherish this dream as much as I do.
I have the honor to congratulate all our friends and partners, whose support and partnership we sincerely appreciate.
Our group objectives have been very simple, being simple people, we have thought of simple things and we simply managed to put our little network worldwide. Of course, this was not as simple as I put it across. It has been a painstaking task for us, and especially for Mr Ken Chiang, which made this look simple.
Real leaders are simple and ordinary people with extraordinary acumen and determinations.
When we decided to develop the C P World name worldwide, we ask ourselves two simple questions.
1. Where do we start and
2. Who do you go to for help
Just the challenge of setting the conditions that would enable us to fuel the force was tough enough, but there was also the need to plan for the future.
To be able to do that, one has to learn to think big, and to have a solid working knowledge of what our partners can contribute what they can't. As our world works its way through the challenges with the economy and a world filled with persistent conflict, we will be faced with a bag of new demands everyday.
Our budgets will likely not be what they have been. We will be asked to do things better, faster, and cheaper. And aren't we already doing that?
We all need people who can anticipate how world changes affect our business. Then we need to be innovative and adaptive in what we do. If we do it right, we will not only provide the most efficient and effective support system we can for today's needs, but we will also be ready for future needs as well.
As you have all seen in our business, you'd better be able to see the entire system before you make changes, because those changes can have rippling effects that all of us don't anticipate.
Today when we make decisions, I ask a lot of questions that some people might not think through. I'm not trying to tell people how to do their jobs; it's just that our business is about details, and thinking through the second and third order effects of what we are doing.
Operational logistics is no place for a "big hand, little map" approach. Before we can improve our logistics system, we have to see and comprehend the entire process to make certain that helping one operation does not hurt another.
Let us all use our talents, competence and energies for creating peace and happiness in our group and in this world. I wish everyone the best for the success that lies ahead.

CEO Message 2009

Even as we climbed out of world recession, the warning is that the strength of the recovery continued to be uncertain. Although the contraction in business activities appears to be stabilizing, the business outlook remains uncertain.
In tough times, we need to be strong as a group, in order to draw inspiration from one another that account for our individual company success.
Asia is said to be the next growth story, but the high savings culture is set to slow down any big jump in consumer spending. Operating environment continues to be challenging due to keen competition and pricing pressure. So, cargo volume will continue to be affected. We, in the NVOCC freight business have a lot weighing down on us.
The outlook may not be rosy, but successful companies do not wait for things to get better. I'm sure many of us either changed ourselves or our strategies to fit the rapidly changing environment.
There is no magic formula for success. Simply hard work and the great effort of finding a winning formula. If we have to adapt, we adapt. If we have to change, we must change .We simply cannot do nothing about it!
I can assure you that C P World too do not wait for the tide to change. In fact we are using the current period to focus on developing our brand and strengthening our marketing efforts. We do not wait for the tide to turn to make our moves.
The economic weather may be cloudy now. But as we prepare for long-term growth we will thrive when the wind changes. C P World will keep building on our strengths.
It is no secret that behind every successful enterprise lays a unique set of capabilities - be it in process or services, branding or leadership development.
Gone are the days where service quality alone would secure customer loyalty. These days, service excellence is seen as a must to ensure repeat customers.
On behalf of C P World Group, I would like to take this opportunity to commend our management and staff for their dedication, hard work and contribution over the years. I would also like to express my deepest appreciation to our business partners and associate.
Last year, during the First C P World "Global" meeting in Dubai, I put forward the challenge of the theme, Together, Better, and Stronger. It started a chain of events, which resulted in the formation of new offices and the overwhelming agencies tie-up around the world.
I am glad to report that being Together has certainly got us Better and in the process allows us to be Stronger as a unit.
This year I would like to throw another challenge to my managers to ensure that freight will be handled in an effortless motion through working as a team as this year theme suggest, "Teamwork in Motion".
I continue to encourage that despite the demands made on us, we can and should find a common ground and work as a team to achieve our desired result.
I trust we will all come together, work harder and enjoy another exciting and happy year together

100 participants from 42 countries attended this year Global Meeting in Malaysia. A second in the yearly series of Global Meeting.
This year event started off on day 1 with a C P World " In-house " leadership workshop.Day 2 & 3 were reserved for a fruitful meeting among all the participating delegates. The 3 days event ended with a Underwater Theme Party Bash !

More than 100 local guests and international delegates turned up for the official opening of C P World Sdn Bhd in Port Klang, Malaysia on 30 March 2009.
Having attained ISO 9001 certified status, this office will continues to serve the customer of C P World Group and seek the challenges and opportunity that the Malaysian market present.
In conjunction with the event, C P World Group also held its 2009 first quarter performance review meeting the following day.

CEO's Message

I believe 2008 has been almost a good year for us.
Although CP World is a globally strong company and we are strategically well positioned, we will not be immuned to the recent events.
While we cannot escape the fact that the global economic downturn will affect everybody, there is no reason to fear the future. We must be prepared for the future. Hence, CP World instead has taken this bold step to provide all offices and partners an alternative to move their cargo within a group.
The past few months have both been particularly challenging for the Group's Corporate Representatives. New offices have been launched in Colombo, Manila, Port Klang, Bangkok & Istanbul.
This is the result of hard work that started 6 months or so ago and all timed to be launched within the same period.
Over the years, we have achieved many projects that only have made C P World Group better.
New managers and staffs that have recently joined our organization have come up with fresh ideas of how to create value to our services and remains competitive.
We are going to come out of these tough times Stronger.
In the process we will become Better.
And we will do it, as always, Together.

Chairman's Message

I am sure we are all aware of the global crises, leading to a tremendous drop in the export and import trade. The ships are going very light and the carriers are dropping the freight levels every day.
The same scenario exists in the consolidation market. With lesser volumes at the disposal, small nvocc operators are finding it difficult to keep many of their direct services operational.
I guess this would lead to more usage of transhipment ports such as Singapore and Dubai in the near future. With the strong network we have, all of us have the possibility to excel in our respective areas. While most of our competitors have started losing volumes, we see a great opportunity in this subdued market.
The positive side of the tough times is that customers are not comfortable in dealing with the small operators and in the last month we have seen additions to our clients list, as the customers prefer to deal with the operators who have a solid network and goodwill. In this group, we have quite a few partners, who are doing extremely well in their respective areas, so lets brush aside the talks of the trade and get into a positive frame of mind, which will help us to do well and lead the table in the areas we operate.

30 key executives representing all CP World asia pacific offices meet in Singapore
on 14 to 16 Sept 2008. The meeting was concluded with the adoption of new fresh ideas.
It is also agreed that next neeting will be held in Dubai in Dec 2008.

From a humble beginning in 2005, Mr Ken Chiang and Mr Makarand Pradhan took their first step into Dubai with their joint investment. Coupled with their extensive international nvocc background, they left the security of their home base and ventured into Dubai as a CFS warehouse provider. They never look back.

Our Offices Development Plan
Over the next four years, the investor rolled out the planned C P World offices in various strategic locations. Though an ambitious plan on the on-set, with the appointment of dynamic leadership in each location, C P World offices are now available in South East Asia, Golden Triangle region, Oceania and Indian Sub-continent.
Away from Asia, C P World also has an office in Spain and Mauritius.
Each office serves the needs of another office, partners and customers. In doing so, continue to achieve sustainable growth in a remarkable way.
Our Future Plan - Emerging Market
As China continues its commercial growth, C P World Group is currently studying the viability of Northern China operations.
Emerging market in East Africa has been tasked to our Dubai office to spread the influence of C P World Group.
